Come join the CHS Carnival of Hope held at CCES on Wednesday, May 11th at 6pm. Proceeds will benefit the Maine Children's Cancer Program. Please come out and have some fun while supporting this wonderful cause.

Good Tuesday morning CCES! It's Ms. McKenzie, your tech lady here reminding you that the Maine Broadband Coalition is still hosting their LAN Speed Contest. The school district with the most tests completed can win up to 1500 dollars in cash prizes to be used on technology equipment. We had to pick a school to run the contest under, so we chose CMS because of their long standing relationship with MLTI.
You can test here: https://mbcschooltest.com/CentralMiddleSchool
And here's a video explaining a little more!

BUT... we will be able to make a recording of the concerts available through our app the morning after each concert. So please stay tuned for those links in the weeks to come. Again, sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support.

Tonight is our Spring Concert for grades PreK - 1. We would love to have you join us but we also know not everyone can make it out tonight. The Epic Kids program being held at CCES after school today is CANCELLED. Mrs. Faunce will be in touch with you about this change.

What a beautiful first day of April break! It's a perfect day to grab a book, go outside, and enjoy the day! Don't forget to log your reading time for our CCES Read-a-Thon! Happy Reading! 📚

Now that was A LOT of camouflage! Great job CCES! It's time to get your "best dress" out as we get fancy for "Fabulously Formal Fancy Friday." What will you wear tomorrow? We can't wait to see what you decide!

We couldn't believe all the wonderful decades and centuries we got to travel through yesterday with "Walk Through History Wednesday." Time to get your camouflage out as we go "Through the Forest on Thursday." Will we be able to see you tomorrow or will you be blending in?

Yesterday, CCES students and staff kicked off our Read-A-Thon with an in-person assembly. There was so much excitement! We were able to learn about our Read-A-Thon, watch an amazing video (which the students LOVED) from our staff, watch a reenactment of a book from four of our great teachers, listen to a read aloud from Mrs. Carr, and meet and greet a very special guest, Cat in the Hat! We are very excited about the outstanding progress of seeing our goals met! Here is a link to our staff video, take a look!

Great job wearing your tie-dye colors today CCES! You might need some help with this one... let's take "A Walk Through History" on Wednesday. Choose any decade throughout history and dress as they did. We're excited to see how far back in time we travel tomorrow.

Wow, it was great to see all those colors today! Time to mix them up a little and get our "Tie-Dye Tuesday" on. Get out your best tie-dye shirt, pants, scrunchie, or socks and wear them proudly tomorrow. We can't wait to see all those bursts of color.

Do you ever have to be in the mood to wear something? Well, tomorrow is your day! "My Mood Monday" is here! Remember to wear the color that matches your mood or personality tomorrow. We're excited to see what color you choose.

Are you excited about our upcoming Spring Theme Week? Our CCES Student Council has some great days planned for you! Take a look...
