What's Happening Wednesday: It is pretty quiet around the halls of CCES this morning. We miss the hustle and bustle of all of our Bear Cubs learning. Just because we are not together today doesn't mean you aren't on our minds. We hope everyone is saying safe and sound. If you have any need that we can help with, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here for you and we hope to be back together for the last couple days before our christmas break.

Motivational Monday: This time of year is filled with different atmospheres of holiday spirits everywhere you go. Decorations, music, holiday cheer, and many treats filling almost every space you enter in. Did you know you have a chance to change every atmosphere you step into? You have an opportunity to bring positivity or negativity to any situation. What you think on, what you listen to, and what you speak about will captivate your focus. So this week, choose to focus on positive things, joy, hope, and happiness. Be a thermostat that sets the atmosphere versus an themometer that simply takes the temperatures of the atmosphere. You have what it takes to be great and to do great things! So go ahead and do it.

Please be aware, bus drop off this afternoon may be delayed in some areas due to road closures. The significant rainfall yesterday has created some challenging rerouting. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We have two new CUB award recipients! Mrs. Graham gave Mrs. Bubar the CUB award and stated, " I'm giving the Cub Award to this particular staff member because she is always willing to do whatever is asked, without hesitation. She just smiles, and says "whatever you need". She is often the last person some of the kids see when they leave, and she always does it with a smile no matter what kind of day she has had. Her students love her as much as her teammates do and we are privileged to have her at CCES. " Mrs. Perkins gave Mrs. Noel the award CUB award and stated, "She is someone who always puts her heart into teaching. She takes the time to build a relationship with each and every student and makes sure that families are always involved in their child’s education. She builds a classroom of kindness and respect when working with some of our youngest learners. She is always there to support her students and yet still teach them the independence they need. She contributes to CCES by volunteering her time for school events, and you can always see the joy on her face when talking to students."

Motivational Monday: The holiday season oftentimes makes people reflect on what they believe in. What do you believe in? As parents, guardians, aunts and uncles, grandparents, community members, and more; we all hope to teach our children to believe in themselves. We want them to believe they can do great things, to never give up, to do their best. We teach them to be unique and love who they are. We want them to know they are enough, strong, smart, kind, and loved! But... Do you believe in yourself? Do you believe these things about you? YOU SHOULD! You are destined to do great things... no matter how big or small. So today I dare for you to believe in yourself and see what happens!

Good Morning CCES Families! We are so excited to welcome you all into our school today for our Holiday Concerts today! If you plan on having your child dismissed at the end of their concert, we ask that you do the following: 1) Wait until ALL students have return back to their classrooms with their teachers before heading up to their classrooms. 2) After students have arrived at their classroom, you may walk up to sign them out with their classroom teacher. 3) In hopes of not crowding the hallways, we ask that one guardian goes up to the classroom to pick up the student(s). Other concert attendees can wait down by the office. 4) We will have staff available to help if you have any questions!! We can't wait to see you!!

What's Happening Wednesdays: Our pre-k friends have been working really hard on learning basic foundational skills for reading. They work hard every day at breaking apart words, putting word parts together to make new words, identifying the beginning and ending sounds of words, identifying letter sounds, well as identifying rhyming and non rhyming words. Great job friends, keep up that amazing work!
