Motivational Mondays: Sometimes it is very easy for us to get caught up in the busyness and commotion of every day life. Have you ever stopped and thought life is going by too fast. I do almost every time I look at my kiddos. Take time this week to slow down and cherish a few moments or two. Try to make each moment count. Remember life may not always be perfect but there are always perfect moments to be found or even created.

Hello CCES Families! We are very excited to try something new with our afternoon pick up routine. What's Happening Wednesdays: Our first graders have been learning about the life cycle of butterflies through a variety of activities, book readings, and live observations. They have watched their caterpillars wrap up into their chrysalis and then break out and become beautiful butterflies. Here Mrs. Marsh talks about the features and characteristics of the butterfly before releasing it onto a flower in order for it to get its much needed nectar for nutrition. What an exciting adventure!

Motivational Monday: I read a quote once that said, "Don't be afraid of change, because it is leading you to a new beginning." A new year can bring lots of changes: new teacher, new students, new learning, new friends, maybe even a new job, new schedule, or new routines. Whatever may be changing for you, don't fear! It's just the start, or beginning, of something wonderful! Remember to stay focused on the good and see that change can be the springboard of GREAT things to come.

It is expected tomorrow's temperatures will be in the mid 80's again. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions. Please no heavy hooded sweatshirts as they are too warm both inside and outside the buildings. Thank you!

We have had a GREAT first day here at CCES! We loved seeing all the smiling faces throughout the day and hope that your students have lots to tell you about the beginning of their school year. We also want to let families know that we will be celebrating our CCES family community by having Spirit Fridays. We are inviting our staff and students to wear our school colors every Friday by wearing RED, WHITE, or BLUE. Go Bear Cubs!!!
