Announcements 09-01-2023 -Day 2 of sports tryouts will be today after school from 3:00-4:30. Please remember that the activity bus does not run today. -Students interested in participating in the fall One-Act play, please sign up at the front office and email Ms. Peterson if you have any questions. There are fifteen roles to go around this year, and if it doesn't work out this time, don't forget we will have another one in the spring, too! -Golf will not practice today. Practices will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning next week. Parents will need to pick golfers up from practices at Whitetail Golf Course in Charleston promptly at 4:30. -Mouthguards are for sale in the office for $1. Soccer socks are also available for $6. Please purchase these at the beginning of the day or during your lunch. -Any students wishing to stay after to watch games - you must have a note from home giving permission to stay after. Please have these arrangements made before coming to school. Announcements 08-31-2023 -Tryouts for Fall sports will be today and tomorrow after school. Please turn any sports paperwork into the office first thing this morning. All paperwork must be turned in today in order to stay after for today’s tryouts. Students will not be permitted to stay after and participate in tryouts without health and permission forms. -Girls and boys soccer will have tryouts today and tomorrow after school from 3-4:30. -Golf will not practice today. Attention 5th grade girls! Middle School field hockey is looking for 5th graders to join the team. Players will be able to ride the bus from CCES to CMS and the activity bus will be available after practices on Tues, Wed, & Thurs. There will be a brief FALL SPORTS meeting for parents and athletes at 7pm in the gym. If your child is considering playing a fall sport, you should plan to attend. ... It's referendum day! Please stop by your polling station today to vote on the school district budget for 2023-2024. The budget was approved unanimously at the public meeting held last week. Now, we need voters to approve that action. Thank you for participating in this process and supporting your local schools.

The games begin at 4. -Academic Assistance will be available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. You must owe 2 or more assignments to attend. -One-Acts will rehearse this week Wednesday and Thursday. -There will be a CMS & CHS Art Show this Thursday, May 25th from 5pm to 7:30pm in the High School Cafeteria. The chorus concert will start in the CHS gymnasium at 6:30. Come early for the art show and stay for the concert! -All library books need to be turned into the library by Friday May 26th. -Last night there was an issue with the pump that supplies water to CMS and CHS. Until the pump is fixed, we have made accommodations to supply water. There is a water cooler in the lobby for drinking only. For convenience, students and staff may wish to bring their own water for the rest of the week. A holding tank is providing water so that toilets are flushable.
