RSU 64 will be providing another opportunity to participate in our ESSER III stakeholders meeting, via Zoom, on Tuesday, January 17th at 6:00pm This meeting is to share information, discuss changes and receive suggestions for projects associated with RSU 64's ESSER III grant. the link to attend is : https://networkmaine.zoom.us/j/85163249253 Who is a stakeholder? Stakeholders are Students, Families, School and District Administration, teachers and staff, and Community Members. What is ESSER III? ESSER III is the American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund, authorized under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, provides over $411 million to Maine to support schools in safely reopening and sustaining safe operations while meeting the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of students resulting from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. It is particularly important that ARP ESSER funding will enable school administrative units (SAUs), and more directly schools, to support students who have been most severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are likely to have suffered the most because of longstanding inequities in our communities and schools that have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Guidance for how ESSER III might to be used can be found here in the ED COVID 19 Handbook: https://www2.ed.gov/documents/coronavirus/reopening-2.pdf. We look forward to sharing this very important work with you.

A huge shout out to the Corinth United Methodist Church for the incredible gifts given to the staff in RSU 64 today! We’ve been “graced”! Each employee received a gift card to Dunkin Donuts today. Your recognition of the school staff and all they do is much appreciated. We are so fortunate to have you as community partners!
