Honors Assembly 2024

Last Friday we held an assembly to recognize our Honor Roll students, our students and staff of the quarter, and our athletic and extracurricular activity participants.  We also had the cheer squad present their routine for the competitions this year.  They had their PVC meet last Saturday and came in 3rd place!  They are amazing.

Our Students of the quarter and their nominations were as follows:

  • Class of 2024 - Dalia Rivera - Dalia has consistently and quietly proven to be a very capable academic achiever (frequently on the Honor Roll); she is a dedicated three season athlete (Cross Country, Indoor and Spring Track); and she is a regular on the Tech Crew of our award winning Drama Club. In addition, Dalia is a recent inductee of our National Honor Society. She models respect to her peers and gives it to her teachers and staff. She is a pleasure to be around

  • Class of 2025 - Kaitlynn McCorrison - Kaitlyn is a delight to have in our building. Smart, athletic, and always with an ever-present smile, she is an encouragement to her peers and to staff. She is also the reigning Homecoming Queen. Day after day she lights up the halls with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

  • Class of 2026 -  Olivia Roberts - Olivia consistently surpasses classroom expectations through both her conduct and quality of work. She is a reliable force in encouraging peers to use materials responsibly and take responsibility for clean-up and materials. Olivia actively participates in supply distribution and oversees the end-of-class routine, ensuring a tidy sink area and washed brushes. Her impactful contributions extend to reducing wastefulness of supplies and streamlining the clean-up process. Additionally, Olivia is a supportive peer, offering positive feedback and encouragement when needed. Her overall dedication to both the learning environment and her classmates makes her a standout contributor in our classroom community.

  • Class of 2027 - Chloe Williams - Chloe is a sweet young woman. She is a dedicated student, always giving her best. She supports her peers and a positive role model for them.

Mr Scott Bickerstaaff was our staff of the quarter.  Mr Bickerstaff takes photos at all our athletic events, and other events as well.  He works most all our athletic events in some capacity.  He is our freshman English teacher extroardinaire, and has taken on leadership of our new BARR program this year to help better support our freshman students as they transition to high school.  thaks for all you do Mr Bickerstaff!

We are so proud of these students and all of our Honors and High Honors students for the second quarter.  Here are a few more shots of the event.

Thanks to Mr Foster for organizing this event.  Here's to a great second semester!
