A Boys please bring $10 for coach’s gift and give it to Mrs. Bean in the office. B Boys soccer practice and pictures today, make sure you have your uniform. Price is $15. There is no play practice today but there is play practice after school tomorrow. Academic assistance will be held after school, sign ups are at the office window. The student council will have their first meeting Thursday, October 14th after school from 3-4 pm. You may take the activity bus home or have someone pick you up. During RTI on Wednesday, Oct 13, students can tryout for the CMS Math Team. Members of the math team will attend three math meets throughout the year in which participants compete against students from other schools. Math Team practices on Thursdays after school in room 103. Students should pay attention to school announcements for more info about trying out.

Learn to play or improve your skills playing CHESS. Chess Club starts Oct 12 and will meet on Tuesdays in room 103 afterschool. Students who stay for chess club can take the activity bus home. There will be two tournaments in the spring.

We were notified by the lab that all pools at CCES are negative except one pool being labeled “indeterminate”. This means one pool was neither positive or negative. We have completed secondary tests on all individuals in that pool and all results are negative. There are NO positive pools this week in RSU 64.

Announcements 10/1/2021 Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country team on their outstanding performance yesterday in their meet at Dexter. Boys receiving awards were: Sebastian L, Aidan W, Jayden R, and Connor L, who was the highest place finisher- placing 13th overall. The girls were third overall: Girls receiving awards were: Julie P, Addyson T, Desirae P, Katelyn L and our top girl was Lexie C who placed 10th overall. The B Boys game for today has been postponed until October 21st. There is no B Boys practice today. Best of luck to the B girls in their away game at Bucksport today! The A Girls & A Boys games for today have been canceled. There is no A Boys practice today. Field Hockey will practice after school. A Girls will practice after school. We have been notified by the lab of one positive pool at CHS. All other pools at all three schools are negative. We will complete secondary testing today in an attempt to identify and isolate the positive case. If your student is in the positive pool you will be notified of the secondary test result. Thank you for participating in pool testing. This kind of screening is helping to keep students in school and keep us open to in person learning!

We have been notified that there has been a rather large cyber attack on the company that manages our phone services at CMS and CHS. This attack is still impacting nation wide callers using Verizon Wireless accounts and may continue for some time. This attack is also impacting several other companies in addition to the one we use. If you are unable to reach one of our schools, please contact the Superintendent’s Office at 285-3334 and we will coordinate communication with the school.

It appears Verizon wireless customers are having difficulty reaching CMS and CHS. If you are a Verizon wireless customer and need to reach CMS or CHS please call the Superintendents Office at 285-3334 and we will forward messages until the issue is resolved.
