Congratulations to the track teams on their outstanding performances in the PVC Championships.
Boys were fifth overall and girls were one point out of the runner up spot in a very close meet.
Jazmin Channon -(Dex) - Broke three school records - 3rd in 55 meter , won the long jump and was on the winning 4 x 200 team.
Anna Miles was 3rd in the 400 meter and was on the winning 4x200 team.
Natalie Speed won the pole vault - Cassidy Drew was third.
Asani Miller was on the winning 4x200 team and took 5th in the 200 and 55 meter.
Connor Ladd took third in triple jump and broke the school record.
Brady Jerome, Jayden LePage, Garrett Wheeler., Aaron Dyer and Josh Reardon went 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 in the shot put.
Grace Menario won the 4x200, was second in the high jump and 4th in the 200 - She also won the Anne Norton League Sportsmanship Award, given to the one girl in the league that displays the most sportsmanship over the season.
Congratulations to Coach Viani who was named 2026 Girls EMITL Coach of the Year.

The girls basketball prelim game will be on Tuesday Feb 10th at 6:00 PM @ Sumner. The bus will leave at 3:45 PM. Good Luck to the girls.

Spring Sports sign ups will be going up on Monday for students outside the main office. Parents, please make sure you are at the CHS gym at 5:00 PM to meet the coaches on Tuesday March 10th. This will be the time that all questions are answered about the upcoming sports season. Please make sure your student athlete has done all the paperwork necessary to participate.

Because of the snow day and some other issues. The girls Basketball game at Schenck for Monday will now be played Tuesday. There will only be one Varsity game at 5:00 PM. The Bus will leave at 3:15.

I have been notified there are delays in our voice call alerts. You will receive my voice call about tomorrow's cancellation but carrier delays are impacting the timing. I apologize for this delay but it is outside of my control.

Due to the significant snowfall predicted tonight and all day tomorrow, there is no school in RSU 64 tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026. Please stay safe.

A few athletic announcements:

-The PVC Cheering competition will be this weekend at 2:00 Start time. The girls will be on the floor at 2:46 PM. The doors will open at 1:00 PM.

- This seasons ESports season is cancelled. We do not have enough players for the winter season. Hopefully we will be back to a full team again in the fall.

- The boys basketball games at Orono High School for this Friday will be starting at 5:30 and 7:00 PM.

The Cheering comp has had a time change do to the incoming weather tomorrow. The bus will now leave at 8:00 AM. Gates open at 9:00 AM. Competition will start at 10:00 AM.

The CHS cheerleaders will be headed to the big east showcase on Saturday 1/17. The event will take place at Old Town High School. Doors will open for spectators at 3:00 PM with at 4:00 PM start time. The Bus will leave at 1:00 PM.

The Indoor Track meet on Saturday at UMaine has been bumped an hour. The meet will now start at 5:40 PM. The bus will leave at 4:00 PM

As a result of today's boys basketball postponement, Orono and I have agreed to the following rescheduling arrangement:

1/23-- Central @ Orono. 5:00/6:30. Bus 3:20 PM

1/29-- Orono @ Central. 5:00/6:30. (We swapped H/A to make this happen).

We have moved next week's boys basketball games vs. Orono on Tuesday 1/6 to Wednesday 1/7. Games are still 5/6:30 pm.

All practices will be canceled at CHS for Monday 12/29, due to the incoming weather.  Thanks for the understanding.   

With the incoming storm for tomorrow evening, we have moved up the game times vs. Bucksport.  The JV game will start at 4:00 PM and the Varsity at 5:30 PM.  This will allow safer travel for everyone home. Thanks for the understanding.

Good afternoon, families. I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving for next week. This is also a reminder that we have early dismissal next Tuesday at noon. Because this is a regular school day for our students, and we are ending the day with advisory and lunch, ALL students will need to be at school for the entire day. this includes students who have UTC and those who have early dismissal on Red days. Absence, as always, will preclude participation in after school activities. We hope you enjoy your days of break with your families!

Hello everyone. Are you someone who has spare time and a heart for helping young people? Do you know someone who fits that description? Would you like to give even some of that time to our students? We have a need for substitute teachers at the high school. If you have any days available, even if it is only a day here and there, I encourage you to apply via the RSU 64 website. Our students need you.
