Parents /Tickets for Track meets at UMO:
ALL players and coaches will wear masks at UMO at all times.
Each athlete will be able to get two ticket vouchers for each meet at UMO. The parent will have to show Mr. Foster a proof of vaccination, or negative test. Parents will be able to show me a negative test at the window of the school from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each Thursday of a meet. UMO does accept a Negative Binox test done at home, a vaccination card, or a Negative test done at Walgreens. The parent will have to write the date and time on the test each week. When I see the negative test, I will give them a voucher that will get them into the Field House. They will still have to pay at the door to get in.
I was just informed that UMO is now not accepting Pool Testing for athletes. I will be testing those athletes and coaches each week on Thursday. If all come back negative then we will be good to go for the meet. The vaccinated athletes do not have to do this.
The preseason basketball games vs. Schenck on Tuesday the 7th have been cancelled due to Covid reasons.
A reminder that sports picture day is next Wednesday December 8th. Coaches will be handing out picture packets this week. Winter sports are off to a great start.
CHS winter Head Basketball Coaches have been given a list of what the away team schools will be doing with fans and mask. They will be communicating with the players this information so we can all try to be on the same page. The best way to find that information is to call the Away schools main office for the answers you are looking for. A reminder that each school has different rules. And we are all working together to have a great season for our athletes.
The CHS Winter Athletic Protocols have been posted under News on the app if you have any questions. To help with some long reading....Yes we will be having home and away fans. YES we will all have to wear a mask. There will be concessions but they will only be eaten in the cafe. There will be a live stream happening in the cafe so that no one will miss any game while they eat. There will be NO food or drink in the gym this season. So please do not bring in any drinks from the outside. We are very excited to have fans. If you still do not feel safe at games please remember to purchase the live feeds from NFHS.
GO RED DEVILS!!!!
Good Luck to ALL our Athletes today. The Winter Sports Season has begin....
Tryouts for Winter Sports starts today. Check the calendar outside of the main office for more information. If you have not turned in all of your paperwork, you cannot participate. You will need proof of a vaccination card, if you are pool testing at school, or proof that you have had Covid and what dates. Please see Mr. Foster or Mrs. Randall in the main office.
There will be no pool testing next week due to the Thanksgiving break. Pool testing will resume on Tuesday, November 30. Please enjoy the holiday; we have so much to be thankful for!
Pool testing results this week have identified three positive cases of COVID-19 at CCES, one positive case at CMS and one positive case at CHS. Close contacts of positive cases are being notified of their need to quarantine.
All COVID-19 test pools in RSU 64 are negative this week! Have a great weekend!
