Do to uncontrollable circumstances, the CHS golf match for today at JATO has been postponed. A new date will be coming soon.

Last night at our board meeting, a new course was approved - AP Computer Science Principles. This course does not have any prerequisites and is thus open to all students, though it is recommended to at least be enrolled concurrently in Algebra 1. I sent out an email to gauge interest, so if you are interested, please reply. The course will be taught live, NOT online! A reminder that we are looking for help from students who need community service hours tomorrow morning to move desks and chairs around in the building. We will begin at 10 am. Thanks for any time you can offer.!

Something NEW at CHS. This year we will have 5 Senior Honors Parking Spots. The Top 5 in the class will have their own designated parking sports until the mid year when grades come out. There is a possibility of a change at the end of the semester. Congratulations to Makenzie Rushlow, Kamyrn Tyrrell, Cassie Gonyer, Chloe Daigle and Lindsey Stevens.

CHS Open House will be held on Tuesday August 29th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. All students should come and meet their teachers as well as pick up schedules for the year. See you soon.

If any student needs community service hours, I am looking for students who would be willing to help with some movement of chairs and desks around at school next week Please email me if you are interested and we will try to figure out a good time for those that are interested.

CHS Golf practice is cancelled for today.

Based on the noon report for our projected weather this afternoon and evening, Orono High School is cancelling tomorrow's Girls Soccer Play-day in order to preserve their fields for the upcoming season.

If there are any field hockey players that are interested about playing with Dexter again this year, please contact Mr. Foster with any questions.

Athletic Paperwork will need to be turned into your coaches on the first day of practice. If you have it done already please feel free to turn it in to the office anytime. We will all be back in the office on Monday Aug. 14th.

As a reminder, our XC coach, Coach Furlong will be away (out of the country) from Aug. 5 - Aug. 15. Our first XC practice will be on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 8:00 am (ending at 9:30 am). See you Thursday Morning!!!!

Summer Adventure Credit Recovery Program is coming! We will be holding summer school outdoors this year. This will be a hands on, get wet, get dirty, have fun, experience and we are excited to offer this to our students. We still have space for several more students. The program will be run Tuesday-Thursday beginning on July 11th and ending August 3rd (4 weeks) and students can earn up to a full credit in the core disciplines. I will be adding an informational page on the website this Wednesday or Thursday after our final planning meeting tomorrow. Students have received information about this program already and some have signed up. Parents, please reach out to Dr. Mayfield (rmayfield@rsu64schools.org) if you want information.
